name: Biomorphs
age: unknown
Biomorphs first started to show up after the Rift Gate Incident in 2139. Researchers at Rift Lore Labs were trying to create faster travel using what they called Rift gates. The first test of this gates opened a rift to a world the Biomorphs exist in. In what was called the first wave hundreds of Biomorphs of all types poured through the opening. Most of the worlds population died during this time and a few have come together to build the fortress and also study the Biomorphs. We only know a little about their physiology. For instance the flesh bodies they inhabit aren't their true form. They are mostly made of some kind of energy. They are like parasites in a way. They take over the hosts nervous system causing the retina to glow and the rest of the eye to darken. Study of the Corpses brought back by the Red wings have shown that after death all the neurons synapses and nerves in the host body have been fried. We aren't sure if that is a result of the Phased Blades or some other force at work. Most Biomorphs have a trade mark symbol on their foreheads they like to display in what seems to be war paint. however they can conceal the symbols and the eye effects at will. most of the Biomorphs use animal hosts We believe they do this because they are easier to control than a human host.
